CLCC INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY
Prayer is the cornerstone of this church, and perhaps the most important ministry here. Every decision and everything we do is soaked in prayer first. Mark 11:17 "My House will be a house of prayer".
WHAT IS PRAYER?
Prayer is basically our communication with God who wants the best for us and who wants to hear from us. We talk to Him, He listens. We listen, He talks to us.
WHY PRAY?
Luke 5:16 "And He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed”. Luke 6:12 "And it came to pass in those days that He went out into the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God". Luke 11:1 "And it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place..." Luke 22:41 "And He withdrew from them about a stones throw, and He knelt down and prayed." 1Timothy 2:1 "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men". Hebrews 7:25 "Therefore He [Christ] is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them". Jesus is our intercessor. Clearly these verses indicate that prayer was a very central and crucial part of the life of Jesus. If we claim to have Jesus Christ as our example then prayer must have a real place in our life. Prayer is for everyone either praying in a group setting or praying on your own, you can collaborate with God to change the world.
WHAT PRAYER CAN DO FOR YOU PERSONALLY AND YOUR FAMILY?
Through prayer we can obtain God’s solutions for any situations. Prayer changes things in our daily lives and in the world around us. Prayer allows us to pour out our heart and requests to God, to hear from Him, to know what His plan is for our lives, to know what He would have us do in any given situation, to have Him intervene in our lives and perform miracles, and is the means by which we thank, honor, and praise Him. So pray “unceasingly” and “fervently”, as the Bible says, and watch what God will do in your life and for your family.
WHAT IS INTERCESSION?
Intercession is praying on behalf of somebody else (standing in the gap). You are asking God to move in someone else’s life. You are between the person and God pleading their case.

A good intercessory prayer group can be more used of God than some governments, corporations, or churches. An intercessory prayer group can direct the course of world events, prevent wars, change elections, and transform the world.
Intercession often is the difference between life and death, war and peace, healing or sickness, success or failure.
