Children's Church (Ages 3 years - grade 6)
About our Children's Church...
Children’s Church is available during each service. We begin with a short worship service together. After worship, the children attend a lesson that teaches them about values, faith, God and how it all fits together. Following this, they are divided into their color groups to attend a station in which they could be doing a craft, game, activity, science experiment, etc. that relates to the days study. At the completion of the station, they participate in the station they have not yet experienced that day. They will then gather together to prepare for dismissal.
Leadership and serving are a large part of this ministry. By having ages 3 to grade 6 together, leadership training is integrated into the children's program. The older children are required to help and set an example for the younger children. The younger children are being submersed into this system, and begin to look forward to helping others as well. Bonds are being formed between the age groups inside and outside the church walls.
About our registration system...
Keeping your children safe is important to us. We use a sign in / sign out system to ensure that safety is maintained. Here's a quick guide to how children are registered, cared for and released from Children’s church.
All children who are attending must be registered. You can download this registration form, complete it, and bring it with you Sunday morning. The child can then be signed in. The sign in station is at the children’s door just past the washrooms. Once signed in, each child will receive a colored name tag which will identify the group they will belong to. At the end of service, the child needs to be picked up by their parent or adult who signed them in, and must be signed out. Please note: It is assumed that either parent can drop off or pick up the child. Adults dropping off kids are assumed to be authorized to pick them up. Please let us know if special circumstances apply.
It is assumed that your child can use the bathroom within the children’s area independently. If for some reason your child needs you, your child’s name will be displayed on the screen in the sanctuary.
For the health of all children, we ask that you do not bring a child who has experienced flu like symptoms in the last 24 hours. Symptoms include but are not limited to: fever, runny nose, cough, upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea.
Thank you for helping us keep your children safe!
